Grand Entrance

Irish Time Design has revolutionised the shop entrance at Swamp Eyre Square Centre, Galway. As part of a recent total refurbishment of the store we removed the old shop front in order to open the interior out to the mall. An entrance should not only attract attention, it should suck customers in. Too often an entrance is treated as a door, but it’s not, it’s a vortex into which customers must be compelled to go. We relocated the entrance at Swamp and doubled the height and width. It’s a perfect example of repositioning the entrance so that customers feel compelled to go in. Stand outside and watch women passing this store and well over half of the target market will turn their heads and look in. This is the first step in attracting new customers and a large percentage of these prospective customers get sucked in with the added opportunity to convert them to sales.
