KAYA Thai Restuarant and Noodle Bar, Limerick designed by Irish Time Design is shortlisted for Awards Final.
The authentic interior of KAYA Thai has won Irish Time Design a place in the top 6 finalists of the Fit Out Project of the Year 2014 in the Leisure category for restaurant design. The restuarant design successfully communicates the essential spirit of Thailand. The challenge was to convert an impratical, long and narrow premise into a functioanl space with a seating capacity for 60 patrons. The design team created three distinct zones, each with a different ambiance, using large format wall graphics and 3D panels. The central seating area is located opposite the kitchen hatch for those who enjoy the noisy kitchen atmosphere characteristic of the Asian dining experience. A more relaxed and intimate area was created to the rear with low light levels and soft furnishing for a more intimate dining experience. The distinctive graphics, mix of warm and vibrant colours has created a restaurant that is bustling with energy and the displays the true essence of Thailand.
